Nurturing Minds, Inspiring Hearts, and Igniting the Path to Excellence.
Our assembly is an important part of our College life, as we have it at the start of a new day and it sets the momentum for the rest of the day. It is planned such that it sets the right tone for the next few hours that we spend together as a community, and so we share some important moments and partake in activities that bring us together. Our College assembly starts with the College Prayer. It is followed by the Thought for the Day, News reading, Word of the Day, and Shloka Chanting. The assemblies are theme-based and are conducted class-wise and house wise.
In addition to academia, sports have always occupied an important part of the curriculum at MTPUC. We have tied up with Edu Sports, India’s leading sports education organization, who has designed an inclusive well-structured sports curriculum with age-appropriate props as well as fitness and skill assessment of each child.
Co-Curricular activities form the core of the MTPUC spirit as it harbours friendship with like-minded peers, and hones the competitive spirit and a healthy rivalry amongst each other. It motivates them to strive for higher goals and nurtures teams to work well with each other and play to their strengths while developing themselves to identify and push their limitations.Co-curricular activities at MTPUC are planned such that they touch all domains of life, such as emotional, cognitive, social, moral and cultural and artistic ones, and helps develop the same over time, at their own pace. These co-curricular activities are planned differently every year, and some of the activities we’ve had are Parade, Recitation, Story Writing, Singing, Dance, Handwriting, clay modeling, Cooking without Fire, Creative Writing, Book review, Memory Test, Mental Ability Test, Debate, Quiz and many more.
Apart from teachers and mentors, trained counselors are available for the students’ guidance, in areas of emotional wellbeing as well as for assistance in career, academic and personal matters. Opportunities to be counseled by trained peer groups are also available to the students. Every student is given career guidance based on our records of their aptitude as well as their performance. The wards are advised regarding their further studies, university options, and fields where the child would excel and find enjoyment.
At MTPUC, we follow the Indian Gurukula system for its core values and practices, and to keep in line with its essence, the mentor scheme is followed. This brings about an excellent rapport between teachers and students. 10-12 students are assigned to the care of a teacher, who acts as a guardian, records the ward’s progress and well-being, and attends to his/her requirements, academic as well as emotional. The mentor acts as an effective link between the parents, teachers, and students.
We at MTPUC believe that travel is one of the best teachers that can be, and hence extensively plan and supervise excursions and study tours. The College plans two kinds of excursions, the first one being one day excursions/field trips to nearby locations of cultural, historical or religious significance. The second kind is held during the December, which are for durations of one day to Adventurous Places. These study tours give them the best memories and learning experiences that they would always remember and cherish.
